The UAE has achieved a new milestone in the digitization of government services, as the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority announced that the 'Digital Verification' platform has issued more than 42 million and 926 thousand verified digital documents since its launch in January 2022.

According to data published on Friday, November 6, 2026, the number of documents verified through the platform exceeded 1 million and 252 thousand, while the number of available document types rose to 88, issued by 32 federal and local government entities.

The platform allows institutions and individuals to verify the authenticity of government documents electronically, without the need to submit paper copies or request traditional attestations, thereby contributing to streamlining procedures and reducing administrative costs.

The system relies on 'Blockchain' technology, which provides a shared and encrypted digital ledger, enabling the verification of data and document authenticity, with the ability to share them through digital channels.

Users can also obtain verified documents through participating entities or the UAE Digital Identity application, as part of the growing integration between government services.

These figures reflect the widespread adoption of electronic documents; however, measuring the full economic impact of the platform requires additional data regarding the time and costs actually saved.

The project represents a step toward more integrated government management, based on the rapid exchange and verification of information, while maintaining cybersecurity requirements and data protection.
