Emaar Moves to Fully Acquire Its Subsidiary

Emaar Properties is moving to reorganize its ownership structure in one of the most significant anticipated financial operations in the Dubai market, after its Board of Directors approved a cash offer to acquire the remaining shares in "Emaar Development".

According to official disclosures issued on November 4 and 5, 2026, the offer price was set at 15 dirhams per share. Emaar and its subsidiary currently hold approximately 80.16% of the shares, making the potential value for purchasing the remaining shares approximately 11.9 billion dirhams.

The deal gains additional significance as offer documents revealed the possibility of resorting to a mandatory acquisition of the remaining shares if the group's ownership reaches 90% plus at least one share, paving the way for the potential delisting of "Emaar Development" from the Dubai Financial Market.

This trend reflects the group's desire to strengthen control over real estate development operations and simplify its administrative and financial structure, at a stage that requires precise management of liquidity and investments.

However, the completion of the operation remains subject to regulatory conditions and procedures, as well as shareholder acceptance, while its actual impact on the market will be determined by the response rate to the offer and the company's subsequent decisions.
