The city of Agadir witnessed a security operation that resulted in the arrest of three individuals, including a woman, aged between 29 and 37, suspected of being linked to a criminal network active in the trafficking of drugs and psychotropic substances. The intervention was carried out by the judicial police elements of the Agadir Regional Security Prefecture, based on precise intelligence provided by the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance (DGST).
The operation took place on the evening of Tuesday, November 3, 2026, in one of the city's neighborhoods. Security services successfully arrested the suspects red-handed in possession and trafficking of narcotic substances. Subsequent search procedures led to the seizure of quantities of drugs and psychotropic items, alongside tools and property suspected of being linked to the criminal activity under investigation.
According to available data, the searches resulted in the seizure of 4,600 ecstasy pills, in addition to 307 grams of cocaine, a quantity reflecting the significant scale of the contraband seized during the security operation.
Security elements also recovered a sum of money suspected to be the proceeds of drug trafficking, as well as a set of vials and tools likely used in the preparation and consumption of "Puff" drugs, alongside a motorcycle suspected of being used to facilitate travel and illegal activities.
The three suspects have been placed in police custody at the disposal of the judicial investigation supervised by the competent public prosecutor's office, with the aim of uncovering all circumstances and details of the case, determining the potential roles of each suspect, and verifying any links to other individuals or networks active in drug trafficking.
Investigations are expected to focus on tracing the sources of the seized substances, their distribution routes, and the parties that may have contributed to supplying or distributing them, particularly given the nature of the seized items, which varied between hallucinogenic pills, cocaine, and equipment related to the consumption of other drugs.
This operation falls within the framework of security efforts aimed at combating illicit trafficking in drugs and psychotropic substances, and countering activities that threaten the health and security of citizens, especially youth and groups vulnerable to the risks of addiction.
Such cases once again highlight the importance of combining security intervention with health prevention and community awareness, considering that curbing the spread of drugs requires, alongside judicial prosecution, strengthening awareness programs regarding the risks of substance abuse and addiction, and tackling the factors that help expand trafficking activities.
