The social provisions of the draft budget law for 2027, which are capturing attention on the Moroccan national scene today, Saturday, October 24, 2026, have revealed a government orientation to inject 62 billion dirhams aimed at consolidating social protection projects, fulfilling the commitments of social dialogue, and supporting the purchasing power of households facing the cost of living. This financial allocation translates at the employment level into the creation of 34,454 budgetary positions in the general budget, to which is added an allocated quota for the education and health sectors of 15,590 positions in favor of the regional academies of education and training, and 2,600 budgetary positions for the territorial health groups. Concurrently, a support mechanism targeting vulnerable children is established, consisting of allocating a monthly subsidy of 500 dirhams to orphaned and abandoned children hosted in social welfare institutions, while guaranteeing a total minimum balance of no less than 10,000 dirhams for each beneficiary child.

Alongside these financial measures, the professional sphere of the education sector has recorded notable progress from the city of Agadir, where the proceedings of the sixty-second Annual General Assembly of the National Education Mutual, concluded today, have led to a decision to cancel

permanently and create an alternative provisional committee tasked with accelerating the processing of thousands of medical files accumulated by teachers and improving the quality of mutualist services. On the ground, and in response to rainfall and meteorological fluctuations recorded over the past twenty-four hours, provincial vigilance committees in the mountainous and northern areas, notably the province of Taounate, have raised the alert level by activating proactive plans to break the isolation of villages, secure communication routes, and protect the population from flood risks.
