The Public Services Department of the emirate of Ras al-Khaimah, in the United Arab Emirates, announced today, Saturday, October 24, 2026, the closure of all beaches in the emirate to the public and swimmers until further notice to safeguard public safety. This preventive measure is taken a day after the closure of beaches in the neighboring emirate of Umm al-Quwain following the detection of an oil spill originating from a tanker in the waters of the Persian Gulf. Competent authorities have called upon citizens and residents to strictly comply with preventive instructions and guidelines while technical and environmental teams complete reconnaissance and comprehensive treatment operations along the coastal strip.

In the context of parallel service and health initiatives in the country today, Etihad Rail launched a new phase of its awareness campaign in cooperation with educational institutions, government entities, and local communities to consolidate a culture of road safety and shared responsibility regarding the national railway network. This coincides with the launch of the "SEHA" nursing, midwifery, and allied health conference in the capital, Abu Dhabi, with the participation of 250 speakers and 2,500 professionals to discuss ways to elevate the efficiency of community medical care and the integration of medical specialties. Likewise, urgent presidential directives have been issued to the Emirates International Aid Agency to deploy immediate humanitarian relief intended for those affected and families evacuated as a result of the earthquake that struck the Republic of Panama.
