The security services of the United Arab Emirates, in close cooperation with the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) and with the participation of law enforcement agencies in 30 countries, revealed the final results of the major global security and intelligence operation named 'Operation Mirage'. This exceptional operation resulted in the seizure and freezing of illicit assets and liquid funds valued at over 39 billion dollars, which were managed and invested by organized international networks specialized in money laundering, advanced financial fraud, and the breach of cross-border digital banking infrastructures.
Operational and analytical teams successfully thwarted more than 123 million hacking and cyber fraud attempts targeting individuals, banking institutions, and commercial enterprises worldwide, in addition to arresting over 400 suspects involved in running fictitious investment platforms and fraudulent trading applications that used artificial intelligence algorithms to trap their victims. These results reflect the advanced technical and intelligence capabilities of the Emirati security system, which has become a central pillar in coordinating multilateral security operations to combat organized crime and money laundering at the international level.
