Statement by the King's Prosecutor at the Court of First Instance of Zagora

The King's Prosecutor at the Court of First Instance of Zagora announces that on October 21, 2026, around six o'clock in the morning, a traffic accident occurred in the Tounfit area, Zagora province, as a result of the overturning of a public transport bus coming from the city of Marrakech heading to Mhamid El Ghizlane, carrying 26 passengers, of whom four people died, while the rest suffered injuries of varying severity.

Consequently, the Public Prosecution ordered the opening of an investigation into the circumstances and details of the accident, monitoring the health status of the injured, and carrying out the necessary procedures to facilitate the burial of the deceased.

Once the investigations are concluded, appropriate legal responsibilities will be pursued in light of the results.
