Law enforcement officers in the city of M'diq dismantled a four-person gang, including two young individuals, following their direct involvement in forming a dangerous criminal network specialized in luring victims through a dating app and various websites.
Gang members resorted to deceptive methods to target individuals seeking relationships or sexual services, directing them to a secluded residence that had been designated and equipped for this criminal purpose. Upon arrival, victims were immediately subjected to theft combined with fraud and extortion under duress.
The rigorous on-the-ground security intervention caught the suspects red-handed inside the apartment in question. They were placed in police custody at the disposal of an in-depth judicial investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent Public Prosecutor's Office, aiming to trace all potential ramifications of this criminal network, identify all alleged victims and possible accomplices, and prepare the ground to bring those involved before justice to answer for the charges legally leveled against them.
