In a progressive move that strengthens the transport system and keeps pace with Dubai's rapid urban development, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has officially inaugurated the vital Al Khaleej Street Tunnel, representing a significant new addition to the completed phases of the historic Al Shindagha Corridor improvement project. This unique engineering achievement spans a length of 1,650 meters, featuring three lanes in each direction, with a total capacity of approximately 12,000 vehicles per hour in both directions, directly contributing to overcoming traffic congestion and significantly reducing travel times.

The strategic tunnel route begins at the end of the Infinity Bridge ramp in the historic Deira area, cutting through smoothly to the intersection of Al Khaleej Street and Al Wuheida Street, thereby connecting vital arteries that contribute to boosting commercial and tourism activity and facilitating the movement of residents and visitors to their destinations with ease. This achievement has received widespread attention and comprehensive media coverage across various newspapers and official local platforms in the UAE, such as Al Khaleej newspaper, Emarat Al Youm, Barq UAE, and the Dubai Media Office, underscoring the project's centrality in shaping the urban future and the sustainable infrastructure network that the emirate seeks in its pioneering development journey.
