An administrative building belonging to Saudi Aramco in Riyadh sustained minor damage on Sunday morning, 8 November 2026, following the fall of shrapnel from an attempted attack, in an incident that resulted in no injuries or deaths, according to the Saudi Ministry of Energy.

An official source at the ministry confirmed that the competent authorities have addressed the incident and taken the necessary measures. The announcement was limited to the damage sustained by the administrative building, without indicating any impact on oil production or supplies.

In field details, Reuters reported that one of its witnesses observed shattered windows on several floors of the Aramco tower in the King Abdullah Financial District, one of the most prominent business districts in the Saudi capital. The incident was preceded by an announcement from the Saudi-led coalition regarding the interception of two ballistic missiles, which it stated were launched by the Houthis toward Riyadh.

Despite this timing, the Ministry of Energy's statement did not identify the party responsible for the attempted attack or the type of weapon used. There was no immediate comment from the Houthis at the time the Reuters report was published.
