Apple Launches New iMac with M6 Processor

Apple has announced the launch of the new iMac featuring M6 processors built on a 2nm manufacturing process, giving the all-in-one desktop a major performance boost without radical design changes. This release skips the M5 generation and integrates a dual 16-core Neural Engine per processor, multiplying artificial intelligence performance fivefold compared to the previous M4-powered version. The company has maintained the starting price of $1,499 for the 10-core CPU and GPU configuration with an increased core count compared to the previous generation, while a higher-end option with a 12-core processor is available starting at $1,699. Technical updates include improved wireless connectivity to include Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6 across all models, alongside retaining previous port options with two ports for the base model and four ports for the higher-end version. This launch comes just days before the anticipated "Pro and Tell" event, with pre-orders opening today and the device becoming available in stores on November 6.
