The Political Bureau of the Authenticity and Modernity Party held an extraordinary meeting, chaired by the collective leadership of the party's General Secretariat, on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at the party's central headquarters in Rabat. The meeting was dedicated to discussing the latest developments regarding the Moroccan Sahara issue within the Security Council, in connection with the Royal Cabinet's statement on the matter. Following an in-depth and comprehensive discussion of these developments, the party's Political Bureau emphasizes the following:
- First: It highly commends the content of the statement issued by the Royal Cabinet, which reflects the profound wisdom with which His Majesty the King, may God assist and grant Him victory, manages this fateful file for the Moroccan nation, both King and people. It also praises the remarkable international momentum bestowed upon this file by His Majesty, bringing it back to the forefront of historical and legal legitimacy, and to its true regional scale concerning the Kingdom of Morocco's legitimate right to reclaim its Saharan provinces.
- Second: The party congratulates His Majesty the King, may God assist and grant Him victory, and the entire Moroccan people on the National Unity Day instituted by His Majesty, embodying its deep national symbolism and its distinct governance approach to this conflict, based on a profound transformation of the determinants and evolving elements of reality.
- Third: The Political Bureau stresses the importance of the autonomy initiative under Moroccan sovereignty as the sole political option to resolve this artificial conflict. It values the advanced status this initiative has attained in various international forums, appreciates the international consensus supporting Moroccan rights, and acknowledges the international progress witnessed by Moroccan diplomatic pathways since the adoption of UN Resolution 2797.
- Fourth: The Political Bureau considers that the non-extension of the mandate of the *
MINURSO* mission during yesterday's Security Council session should effectively conclude its mandate on the ground. This constitutes a highly significant step toward the definitive closure of the Moroccan Sahara file and a positive milestone to break away with an era that no longer aligns with the realistic developments surrounding the Moroccan Sahara issue.
- Fifth: The Political Bureau emphasizes the strong engagement of the party's various structures within the unified national internal front behind His Majesty the King, may God assist and grant Him victory. It reiterates its firm determination to contribute robustly to continuously renewing the debate on the Moroccan Sahara issue, with an importance matching our involvement in various development programs and mechanisms in our southern provinces. It calls upon all active forces to remain highly vigilant in monitoring these crucial developments concerning the Moroccan Sahara across international forums, which under all circumstances will never alter our nation's eternal motto: Morocco is in its Sahara, and the Sahara is in its Morocco, until God inherits the earth and all upon it.
