To Enhance Maritime Infrastructure: King of Morocco Monitors Progress of Major Port Projects

The Moroccan Sovereign, King Mohammed VI, chaired a working session in Rabat dedicated to the progress of works at the Nador West Med port and industrial complex, whose first phase is expected to enter into service in the coming days, as well as the expansion project of the Tangier Med complex through the launch of the construction of a new port, Tangier Med 3.

A statement from the Royal Cabinet emphasized that the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Tangier Med Special Agency and Chairman of the Board of Directors of "Nador West Med" presented, during this meeting—which is a continuation of the working sessions chaired by His Majesty dedicated to developing the Kingdom's major port projects, particularly the one held on January 28 last—an explanation regarding the progress of works on these two projects and the upcoming stages for their development, which fall within the framework of the Royal vision aimed at providing Morocco with an efficient port system capable of strengthening the Kingdom's competitiveness in the face of the restructuring of global value chains.
