The United Arab Emirates Cyber Security Council announced the success of national digital systems in monitoring and neutralizing more than 750,000 cyberattacks directed against strategic and sovereign sectors, as well as government and financial institutions in the country. The detected attacks ranged from Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attempts, ransomware malware, and advanced intrusion attempts to steal databases or disrupt vital facilities linked to the energy, water, and telecommunications sectors, which were proactively and securely isolated and neutralized without recording any operational disruption.
Technical teams explained that the digital defense system, based on artificial intelligence and real-time data traffic analysis, provided an advanced firewall capable of detecting vulnerabilities and emerging threats in fractions of a second. This achievement comes in a context of escalating cyber risks associated with global geopolitical transformations, highlighting the success of the comprehensive cybersecurity strategy adopted by the UAE to protect its digital infrastructure and provide a secure business environment for investors and multinational companies operating in the country.
