Washington considers military strikes against Iran

Military and security decision-making circles in Washington are moving toward studying advanced offensive deterrence options targeting ballistic missile system infrastructure and drone factories deep inside Iran, according to western intelligence reports that coincided with political shifts associated with the midterm elections in the United States. The data reveals that the US Department of Defense has prepared plans for qualitative and targeted operations aimed at undermining Tehran's offensive capabilities without getting entangled in a full-scale ground conflict or the permanent disruption of shipping routes in the Gulf.
Meanwhile, Tehran announced the elevation of its armed forces' readiness to the highest level, warning that any direct attack against its territory or sovereign facilities will be met with a large-scale response that will not be limited to US bases in the region, but will also target the economic interests and energy facilities of Washington's allied countries. This sharp standoff reflects that the deterrence equation between both parties has reached a critical stage, placing Middle Eastern security before prospects of an unprecedented escalation.
